The Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs and the Department of City Planning brought the Mural Bike Rack Program to Southwest Atlanta, featuring artists Tia Lore-Marie Haynes, Zipporah Joe’l and Sachi Rome.
The artists painted bike-shaped bike racks that were installed in the Cascade Heights business district. The selection process included a committee of included artists, residents and city staff. The racks provide a place for patrons of the commercial district to lock their bicycles and provided the artists an opportunity to display art in the public realm.
